Why the Dispatch of Record?

Be it the fear-mongering of Sky News during the 2014 Scottish Independence referendum, the one-sided reporting of the Syrian civil war by Al Jazeera, or the MSNBC coverage of the Occupy Wall Street protests, my teenage years are filled with memories of intensely subjective news.

Since then, I have been an ardent follower of current affairs. I have always longed for a one-stop shop where I could stay informed without the inherent bias that comes with financial and political ties.

Thus, in an attempt both to make productive my countless hours spent searching for objectivity, and to provide clarity for others in a time when it is desperately needed, the Dispatch of Record was born.
